A small and sweet meadow along the Mary C. O’Brein Pratt Trail of Hopkinton Area Land Trust. Pratt Farm on Fruit Street is a lovely location for your family portraits in the Greater Boston area.
The Pratt Farm is a connection to a few of Hopkinton’s trails, which total about 145 acres of land to explore. Each trail is about 5+ miles.
Along these trails, you can find visitors biking, cross country skiing and walking. Trails are said to be on the easier level.
The Pratt Farm Area
The Pratt Farm area sits alongside of a privately owned property and farming land. When we’ve visited Pratt Farm, we often saw the property owner out tending to his farm and taking diligent care of his land.
Pratt Farm of Hopkinton, Massachusetts welcomes visitors with a small, dedicated parking lot and kiosk with a trail map and notifications. You can enter on either side of the meadow via natural trails, both brining you into the land.
To the right, you will find a small pond bordered with trailing trees and natural wildlife—all of which make a pretty background for family portraits.
As we work our clients into the farm area, the land is level—which is great for clients of all ages. The land is covered with tall grass, wildflowers and naturals trails to stop and explore various nooks and crannies. There’s so much to explore at Pratt Farm.
When to Visit Pratt Farm
We love to photograph our clients at Pratt Farm of Hopkinton, Massachusetts late spring to early-mid summer. Why? Because of the natural wildlife esthetic.
The meadow is kept wild. The blooms are allowed to be free. Black-eyed Susans blanket the area—which add a lovely warm pop to our client’s portraits. Children also love exploring them, too!
How We Shoot at Pratt Farm

After exploring many of the above, Blush Baby Photo found that Lone Tree Hill’s meadow provided a nice, short, easy walk from the (best for our clients) with beautiful open views, which is unlike many trails in that area of Belmont, Massachusetts. (Those we’re all a bit more woodlands, not the kind of space we find ideal for our brand’s work.)
